Graduated Carthage High School in 1982

Graduated Stephen F Austin University, Nacagdoches 1986

Graduated Illinois College of Optometry 1991—Degree O.D.

While at Illinois College he met his wife Susan Giroux who is also an O.D.

Currently residing in Carthage, Texas and owns Donald Eyecare.

Ben and Susan have two daughters,

Erin Francis —DOB: 06/15/1995 and

Emily Joy —DOB: 09/08/1996. Ben is the last male descendant of this line of the Donald Family.

Ben is involved in the Lions Club, Carthage Independent School District Education Foundation, and is a School Trustee.

He and his family raise miniature horses, 4H Projects and cattle. Ben enjoys taking riding lessons with his daughters. He and his family recently moved into a newly constructed home on the a part of the original family homestead that was purchased from Mittie Donald’s children.
