This website is a labor of love dedicated to the memory of my parents, John Robert Donald & Kathleen Loretta Burkett Donald, whose loss is daily keenly felt, but I have every confidence that we will meet again in heaven. This site is also dedicated to the memory of my proud Donald ancestors, both those I knew and those I never met, whose lives, histories and tenacity helped shaped me into a successful adult.
Special thanks also to Mary Lee Knight and Gloria Mayfield, both of whom keep the genealogical flames of Panola County burning brightly. Without their help I could never have stumbled my way through gathering much of this information. Thanks also to other Donald Researchers who have always been willing to share information and ideas.
If you are or think you may be a relative, please feel free to contact me. I would love to tie together as much of our family history as is possible into one place for future generations. If you are a Donald Researcher, feel free to use any information I have posted here, but please be courteous and credit the source.
The oldest surviving male in our line recently completed a DNA profile and found a VERY close link to the Daniel family. As time permits I will be seeking information to hopefully unravel this mystery!
